fallen, twisted and burned...

Shot on my Pentax Z1-p with Pentax smc 35-105mm @F8 on kodak hd400 expired 2005, Home developed in Cine-Mech C41 kit and scanned on Epson 4990.

I decided to develop some of the eleven c41 rolls I had saved up over the weekend. My last unicolor c41 kit had been punctured it seemed and the chems looked off. So I decided to try a home made kit from a Russian eBay seller I had purchased a couple of years ago. I developed 5 rolls and was reasonably happy it worked, however the rolls look quite dark, this and the scans do not look particularly exceptional.

This was taken with my Minolta Dynax 7 using my Minolta 100-300 APO zoom @F4.5 on Ilford PanF 50, stand developed in Rodinal and scanned on my Epson 4990.

After returning home from being out for a drive with the little man in the countryside last Sunday on a super hot day here in Perth. I was trying to finish this roll so I could dev and scan it, so I was snapping around the house. This angry little Willie wagtail was flitting around the back yard, so I threw on my Minolta APO 100-300 and took a couple of snaps. It’s not tack sharp as It’s slow speed film and a long, slow lens, but it shows the attitude of the little fella. haha

Was out for a drive with the little man in the countryside Sunday on a super hot day here in Perth. There were massive bush fires on the horizon. He’d fallen a sleep in the car by this point so I was just pulling the car over when I saw things that struck my interest and quickly snapping before jumping back in the car and continuing on. We had been out for a few hours and the weather was changing so I was making our way home, but I really wanted to finish this roll so I could dev. it that arvo once we got home. I made a move to a few locations that are favorites of mine for shooting that I have not visited for a few years on my way back home. I do love this spot. It’s changed a bit and has a lot more dumped refuse since my last visit as you con see at the bottom of the frame. However it’s still a great spot.

…even if people try to shit on you along the way.

A bit of an inspiration post. As much to myself as to anyone else. Keep going out and creating and trying new things and being kind and happy. This life is too short to let petty things such as others negative opinions, or even your own negative head-space to get in the way of actually living. Go out and experience and create beauty my friends. It is all around us and we only have such a short time to take it all in and enjoy it.

I spied these dilapidated old farm houses as I was driving, so I quickly pulled the car over and took a quick snap before jumping back in and carrying on without waking the little man. haha

I am always a sucker for gnarled trees in countryside fields. This is a continuation of my gnarled trees post yesterday, though this is one of my favorites, being out in such an open field.

Was out for a drive with the little man in the countryside yesterday on a super hot day here in Perth. There were massive bushfires on the horizon. Anyway, I decided to stop in a national park along our drive to take a quick respite from being cooped up in the car. There was some really interesting landscapes here. Having the little man with me didn’t allow me too much freedom to explore, but I did get of a couple of quick snaps.

Spiderman lurking in the bushes ready to pounce

I dev’d this roll in rodinal, using the stand dev method and scanned the negative on my Epson 4990.

Was out to dinner at the pub with the family, had brought this spidey toy along for the little fella. Had some fun with it while waiting for our meals. 🙂

Placed the little fella up on top of the car after dinner at the pub. I took two shots, however this is my favorite.I have plenty of him smiling but this shows his attitude.
